1. Condition of Use of Ed Job Plus

For Jobseeker:

1. You authorize Ed Job Plus System to access and use your personal data in EdUHK's databases for verification of your eligibility to receive this Service.
2. Enrolment into on-line resume service provided by Ed Job Plus is entirely voluntary. You may post your resume on Ed Job Plus if you wish to apply on-line for a specific post advertised in Ed Job Plus, and/or select to be included in "Candidate Search" by Employer.
3. You acknowledge and agree that EdUHK may release your brief resume (which contains your personal data including your Name, Study Program, Major, Graduate year, availability and Email address) to Employers through the use of the Ed Job Plus's search engine for the purpose of enabling Employers to identify any potentially suitable candidate for matching their job vacancies and to assess the suitability of candidates for such vacancies. If you are selected by an Employer through the search engine, Employers may access your full resume (except for a few mandatory fields, you may decide the type of information which could be accessed by an Employer on Ed Job Plus). EdUHK will not release Jobseeker's other personal data to any Employer without your consent. When you have secured a job and do not require the service of Ed Job Plus anymore, you should inform EdUHK Career Development Section and discontinue your account in order to free up capacity of the system.
4. EdUHK will not be responsible or held liable in any way if any Employer, in breach of the Terms and Conditions, whether in Hong Kong or elsewhere, use your personal data for any use other than for staff recruitment. You accept that personal data given to Employers or other users are given entirely at your own risk. You accept the condition that information of the Employer(s) and job vacancy(ies) accessed by you through Ed Job Plus system will only be used for your own job seeking purpose and not for any other person or purpose.
5. EdUHK reserves the right to accept, reject, edit or remove any information posted in Jobseeker's account on Ed Job Plus; to suspend or terminate any services to you at its sole discretion including should you fail to act in compliance with the Terms and Conditions.

For Employer:

1. Employers need to register on-line before using Ed Job Plus to post job openings for the first time. For employers participate in the Career Development Internship Program (CDIP) organised by EdUHK Career Development Section, please send email to EdUHK Career Development Section for registration. For easy identification by our administrator, it is highly recommended that you use your Business/ School/ Society Registration Certificate as user ID.
2. Ed Job Plus is provided for an Employer whose genuine purpose is to identify suitable candidates for a vacancy within the Employer's organisation. Employers must display their full name in each job vacancy posting. Insurance Agents are requested to place their job advertisements via their central administrative office (e.g. Human Resources Office). Employment Agencies and Direct Sales Distributors may approach the EdUHK Careers Team for customized assistance.
3. Upon obtaining approval from EdUHK, you will be entitled to use Ed Job Plus to post job vacancies within your organisation. You shall be held fully responsible for the contents and materials contained in the job posting(s). You will also be entitled to access the candidate resume database but you agree that all information obtained via Ed Job Plus shall only be used for the sole purpose of assessing the suitability of Jobseekers for a vacancy within your organisation.
4. All employers who are authorised to use Ed Job Plus for job vacancies postings must comply with the notification requirement of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Chapter 486)("PDPO").
5. EdUHK reserves the right to accept, reject, edit or remove any job vacancy information posted on Ed Job Plus; to suspend or terminate any services to you for any breach of the provisions herein.
6. You must ensure that all your officers, employees and contractors keep all Information (as defined below) confidential by not disclosing or using such Information for any purpose other than that set out in g. above.

Prohibited Uses - Jobseekers and Employers

1. You shall not post any information which is not related to the purposes stated under 1. "Condition of Use" above onto Ed Job Plus. You will be liable for the consequence of any false and/or incomplete information provided. The EdUHK will not be liable for any such false and/or incomplete information. EdUHK does not check data on the website for factual accuracy and it makes no warranty as to the accuracy of any data on Ed Job Plus. Employers shall warrant that the personal data requested from Jobseekers are adequate but not excessive in relation to the purpose of recruitment only and are to be used lawfully in compliance with the PDPO.
2. Jobseeker shall not respond to/contact any Employer for any reason other than to apply for the job posting and Employer shall not respond to/ contact any Jobseeker other than assessing his/her application for a job or internal staff recruitment. Communications related to promoting or soliciting business for any reason is strictly prohibited.
3. You shall not use Ed Job Plus for transmitting, distributing or storing material in violation of any applicable law or regulation, or in any manner that may infringe the copyright, trademark, trade secrets or other intellectual property rights of others or violate the privacy or publicity or other personal rights of others, or that is libelous, obscene, threatening, abusive or hateful.

2. Responsibility
You acknowledge and agree that you are fully responsible for the form, content and accuracy of any resume, job vacancy information or material contained therein placed by you. You shall be responsible for your own communications and are responsible for the consequences of their posting. Any reliance by you on materials posted by other users shall be at your own risk. EdUHK reserves the right to expel or suspend any users and prevent their further access to Ed Job Plus at any time including for breaching this Agreement or violating the law or any regulation. EdUHK also reserves the right to remove any material which is abusive, illegal, disruptive or inappropriate at its sole discretion.

3. Links to other sites
Ed Job Plus may contain links to other sites or resources that are not owned or controlled by EdUHK. The linked sites are not under our control and we have not reviewed or investigated in any way the information at such linked sites. We make no representation or warranty as to the contents of any linked site or any link contained in a linked site. You acknowledge and agree that EdUHK is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other sites. Your use of Ed Job Plus and any other websites accessed through it are entirely at your disposal and your own risk.

4. Security Measures
EdUHK will use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that its authorised officers, employees, and/or contractors exercise their prudence and due diligence in handling the personal data submitted by Jobseekers and the access to and processing of the personal data by such persons is on a "need-to-know" and "need-to-use" basis. EdUHK will use its reasonable endeavors to protect the personal data against any unauthorized or accidental access, processing or erasure of the personal data. EdUHK will take reasonably practicable steps to ensure the security of the data submitted to Ed Job Plus. However, EdUHK cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send to or receive from us over the internet or for any unauthorised access or use of that information.

5. Disclaimer
EdUHK specifically does not make any warranty or representation as to the accuracy or completeness of any data submitted on Ed Job Plus. Under no circumstances shall EdUHK be liable for any loss, damage, liability or expense incurred or suffered which is claimed to have resulted from the use of Ed Job Plus including, without limitation, any fault, error, omission, interruption or delay with respect to it. You acknowledge and agree that EdUHK shall not be liable for any conduct of any user of Ed Job Plus.
